Mnafu local water source
Manfu, Tanzania School Support
Mnafu is a village located about 87 km (54 mi) away from Berega. The primary school in Mnafu was very run down. The walls were deteriorating. It was not an environment conducive to learning. We undertook to renovate the school. We used our books on walls program and repaired and prepared the walls. We then used our local artist to paint the walls with the information preschool children need to know. We trained the local teachers on how to teach from the walls.
Water remains a challenge in Mnafu as is illustrated by this local water source and difficulty getting water from it.
